Juan G. Usme

Juan Guillermo is a lawyer, specialist in real estate law from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana; master in government and public policy, specialist in government, management and public affairs, and in economic law from Universidad Externado. He is an expert in the management of public entities, with an emphasis on corporate strategy, contracting, conciliation and deal closing.

He served as secretary general of the Department of Antioquia, the District of Medellín, UNE-EPM, EMVARIAS and the ICT Ministry, and as deputy director of the Presidency of the Republic, among other positions. He has taught law, including obligations and commercial law.

Decorated by the Colombian State and the Military Forces for his services (Coronel Atanasio Girardot Medal, Gonzalo Mejía Medal and Casa Militar Award, among others).

Secretary general of the Government of Antioquia, the District of Medellín, UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones, Empresas Varias de Medellín and the Ministry of Communications.

Deputy director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic and Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Colombia in Mexico.

Board member of companies in the energy, infrastructure and services sectors.

Adjunct professor at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (2008–2024).
